Letter from the Director
Welcome to the Kirkwood Public Library, named Missouri Library of the Year in 2007. We have been a community treasure for many years. Our building includes 25,000 square feet and three full floors. Your local public library has it all.
A listing of our services includes:
- Wireless access to the Internet throughout the entire building
- Public access computers
- Passport application agency
- Voter Registration
- Used book recycling
- Extensive youth, teen, and adult programming
- Online databases
- A beautiful gift shop, Books & Beyond, run by the Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library
We offer a friendly, knowledgeable staff who put you, the patron, first. Food and drink are allowed throughout the building. Our collection includes bestsellers, DVDs and music CDs, downloadable eBooks and audio books in all formats (CD, Playaways, and downloadables); and of course plenty of books, both new and old favorites. We are open seven days a week and online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are part of the Municipal Library Consortium, a group of nine municipal libraries in St. Louis County. We share a catalog and participate in daily delivery service.
Come in and get to know the staff and the collection! Join the Friends of the Kirkwood Public Library, a strong volunteer group of over 400 people who support the library.
We look forward to serving you!
